The Capital Area Greenbelt Association is "minding the erosion." Stream bank reconstruction and floodplain re-connection at sites 2 & 3, will begin on June 23, weather permitting. The activities will continue into September. Users are asked to exercise extreme caution when using the Paxtang Parkway during this time. The parkway and the SAMBA trails will not be closed, but users may experience temporary closures while equipment and materials are being moved.

Construction of improvements at sites 1 & 4, will begin next year after a lockout period, from October 1, until year end. This is required to protect the wild Brown Trout population in the main stem of Spring Creek.

Please direct any questions or concerns to the Capital Area Greenbelt Association. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing!! I love running in the green belt! One of my favorite things abt living in Penbrook

You have to switch to the road thru the State Hospital grounds due to the Asylum Run improvement project. That should be done by Fall 2018 according to sign. The work around the actual trail is fine and easy.
